Why this spelling

This romanisation is not the spelling copied letter by letter. It is built from the National Institute of Korean Language’s Revised Romanization, which writes what the word sounds like once the sounds next to each other have changed it.

When you would say it

Useful at any table with a burner on it. The answer will be a gesture at the pot, which is all you need.

The one with the sausage and cheese in it

Budae-jjigae confuses people more than any other dish here, because it looks like a mistake. It isn’t. It is its own category, it has its own restaurants, and the ingredients that look out of place are the point of it.
