Why this spelling
This romanisation is not the spelling copied letter by letter. It is built from the National Institute of Korean Language’s Revised Romanization, which writes what the word sounds like once the sounds next to each other have changed it.
When you would say it
Works both for ordering food to take away and for boxing up what’s left.
Ordering for a table of two when everything is sized for four
Jokbal, bossam, budae-jjigae, gamjatang and most grilled meat come in sizes that start at roughly two people and go up. A pair can eat a small anything; a single traveler mostly cannot, and that is a real constraint rather than a rule anyone will explain to you.
