Korean summers can be much hotter and more humid than many travelers expect. These days it's even getting hotter.(I'm feeling it every day, since I'm in Korea right now🥵) If you're visiting during a heat wave, a little preparation can make a huge difference.

🧢 1. Pack the right items Bring a hat or cap, sunglasses, a portable fan, a small towel, and light, breathable clothing. These simple items will make exploring much more comfortable.

🥵 2. Avoid the hottest hours If possible, plan indoor activities between 1 PM and 4 PM, when temperatures are usually at their highest. Visit cafés, museums, shopping malls, or aquariums during this time.

⚡ 3. Carry a portable charger Using maps, translation apps, and taking photos drains your battery quickly. A power bank is one of the most useful things to have while traveling.

🍉 4. Take breaks It's okay to slow down. Korea has plenty of cafés, convenience stores, and shaded parks where you can cool off before continuing your trip.

💧 5. Stay hydrated Don't wait until you're thirsty. Carry a reusable water bottle and drink water throughout the day. Convenience stores are everywhere, so it's easy to refill or grab a cold drink.

🧴 6. Don't forget sunscreen The UV index can be very high in summer. Apply sunscreen before heading out and reapply every few hours, especially if you're spending the day outside.

Korea can be hotter than you think, taking a little break won't stop you from having real experience 🇰🇷
